This half term seems to have flown by in a flurry of bank holidays and inset days but, even so, we've managed to pack in lots of fun and some celebrations along the way.
We've been lucky enough to have our one to one worker Amanda attending sessions three times a week, her support in maintaining a harmonious setting is much appreciated and, as always, she has been given a lovely welcome from all the children.
We've also seen the arrival of some new playground equipment. As the weather starts heating up we've tried to provide more outdoor entertainment; volleyball nets, new balls, basketball nets, swing balls and ropes all made more regular appearances outside.
Much to the children's delight we have also invested in the new scooters they asked for: trick scooters for the juniors and some sturdier models for our younger ones. Hopefully there will be something for every age and ability to enjoy. |
Alongside our healthy snack menu we've spent time this half term baking some sweet treats to enjoy: fairy cakes, iced biscuits and our end of term crumble were all a success.
However, our biggest culinary hit were our royal wedding chocolate cakes; lovingly iced with the union jack and gobbled up at our royal wedding party. In true street party tradition we ate our party food outside, played hoopla and other party games, painted our faces and waved our glitter flags and crowns.
This term we've also seen a slight change in pricing so just a reminder that after half term the rates will continue to be:
Concessionary: £3.25 (first 5) or £4.85 all others
Full rate: £9.75
Extra session: concessionary £5, full rate £10
We would appreciate if extra session payments are made following sessions.
A final reminder to please call or text on 07592 025 445 if your child is absent to avoid Jess searching the corridors or charging you for a call back.
See you soon!

And Finally...Childcare Vouchers and Employer Perspective
In past newsletters we have focussed on how Childcare Vouchers are a good way for parents to save money on their childcare costs. If you are an employer, or a senior manager or a company that does not have a childcare voucher scheme, now may be a good time to investigate operating a scheme.
Childcare vouchers are an excellent benefit to offer parents as it allows them to pay for their childcare from tax free earnings. The schemes are reasonably easy to administer, and can either be administered in house, or via a third party organisation. The benefit to the employer is that the scheme is self financing as the employer saves money on their Employer NI contributions, so whether the scheme is self administered or via a third party, it usually will not cost the employer anything.
We accept any childcare vouchers, all the providers are good, we would not necessarily recommend one over another.
The main voucher providers we currently work with are:-
Care-4
Computershare
Edenred
Early Years Vouchers
Fideliti
Imagine Childcare
Kiddivouchers
Sodexho
