Benfield After School Club
The After School and Holiday Club at Benfield will be our first ever Junior run club, which should be fantastic for the children as it will be tailor made to their needs. It take place in the Mobile Classroom in the playground at Benfield Junior School.
Infant children attending Benfield School are welcome at our After School Club at Portslade Infants School. This will enable each club to offer age appropriate activities.
The room is newly refurbished and is an excellent base for our club. There is access leading directly into the enclosed playground, so children will have the freedom to go inside and outside as they wish. There are toilets just off the playground. We will be able to use the canteen and hall when they are not in use.
Our After School club is open every day that Benfield Junior School is open for children from Benfield and St Nicholas School. The children will make their own way to the club. Children from St Nicholas School will be met in the School foyer and then walked to Benfield School.
After School Club: End of school day until 6.00pm
We are open every school holiday to junior children from around the local area from 8.00am until 6.00pm.
There is a different theme every day of the holiday and you can book and pay online or download a booking form.

Please note, the After School and Holiday Club entrances are different. The After School Club entrance is through the gate to the side of the school. This gate is nearest to the After School Club and there is a bell on the gate.
The Holiday Club entrance is via the gate at the end of the carpark and is clearly marked with signs. There is a bell on the gate.
Pick Up Schools
We pick up children from St Nicholas School every day (including from school run After School Clubs).
To book an After School Club place, you need to complete a Benfield Registration Form and return to the After School Club or the address shown on the form with a £35 registration fee.
The Team
Cath
is the supervisor at the After School Club. Cath has had lots of experience of playwork and running other childcare settings. Cath has a Foundation Degree in Playwork and is a qualified trainer. She is First Aid qualified. Cath also works in the our office where she is responsible for all HR and recruitment. She has 3 children.
Carol
is the assistant supervisor at the club. Carol has worked with children for several years in nursery, school and play settings. Carol has an NVQ Level 2 in playwork, and is curently studying for her NVQ Level 3. Carol has 2 grown up sons.
Rob works as a playworker.
