Portslade After School Club
The After School and Holiday clubs take place in the school hall at Portslade Infant School.
The school hall has lots of space for indoor play, we also have use of the school playground.
Entrance to the club is directly through the school hall, not the main school entrance. To reach the hall, turn left down the side of the main building and ring the bell outside the hall.
Our After School Club is open every day that Portslade Infant School is open for children from Portslade Infants, Benfield and St Nicholas. All children at Portslade Infants are picked up from their classes by one of our team. The children from Benfield and St Nicolas meet our team at their school reception and are walked to Portslade Infant School.

Meet The Team
Each half term, we will be profiling a different member of the team, this month, meet Mel Coull:
Mel is a playworker at Portslade Infants. She joined us when we took over the existing After School Provision at St Bartholomew's. She has been working as a playworker since March 2001.
Since Mel started as a playworker there have been many changes and she has enjoyed the new skills that she has learnt since she has been with us. One big change for Mel has been the introduction of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Mel has enjoyed working with the children for whom she is the key worker.
Her favourite group game with the children is dodge ball. Her favourite outdoor game is Fox and Hounds - where half the children are foxes and have tags in the back of their clothes. The hounds give chase and need to capture the tags from the back of the foxes clothes the last fox is the winner.
The favourite part of Mel's job is being with the children and ensuring they are happy.
We asked Mel to tell us details of her childcare qualifications and she is so well qualified she gave us an A4 sheet with the details! Some of Mel's qualifications are: City and Guilds Playwork level 3, Paediatric First Aid, Epi Pen Training, Working with Children Whose Behaviour Can Be Challenging.
Mel has a 4 year old daughter. She plays darts, and recently won the ladies Sussex singles league. Mel loves animals and in addition to her owning 5 pets, she is a 'Friend of London Zoo' and sponsors several animal charities.
