Meet The Team

joined us as Club Co-ordinator in September 2016, when we opened the Club.  She has extensive experience and a Teaching Qualification in Early Years and prior to joining us, set up and ran her own Montessori pre-school nursery.  She enjoys meditation and yoga as well as other sporty activities, which keep her busy while she’s not working or caring for her baby grandson.

Sally says she believes “the opportunities we provide for children to play is very valuable for them and contributes to positive outcomes for them throughout the rest of their lives”.

Shelley managed a florists in Eastbourne before joining us.  She’s currently studying for her Level 3 in Playwork and works as a MDSA in Brighton and at a school supporting children with disabilities.

She’s a mother of 3 and a step-mother of 4 children.

Liz has been with us since 2016, having retired from the National Probation Service in the March of that year.  She has a degree in History and a Diploma in social Welfare.  Since retiring from her full time work, Liz enjoys spending time with her family in the garden, taking an active interest in the National and Woodland Trusts.  She likes music, art and sewing.

Giola joined us in 2017as a Level 2 Qualified Playworker.  She previously worked in a nursery and thoroughly enjoyed building up her knowledge of Early Years education.  Of childcare, she says that “seeing a child smile and knowing that you contributed to it is definitely most rewarding”.

Juliette joined the team when the Club opened in September 2016.  She currently works at Southover Primary as a Teaching Assistant and also runs a lunch club for the children.  Prior to this Juliette worked at Western Road Primary School and at the YMCA.  Juliette loves horses and previously ran riding holidays for children providing riding lessons.
