St. Bartholomew's After School Club
The After School Club takes place in the Community Rooms at St Bartholomew's School. We are open every day that St Bartholomew's School is open, from the end of the school day until 6.00pm.
The Community Room is our own dedicated space and we have direct access to the school playground.
Entrance to the club is directly through the main school building. The Community Room is on the right hand side on the ground floor.
Security at the club is of utmost importance to us. Our staff lock all the exit gates in the playground at the beginning of the session before the children go outside to play. This ensures that we know that all the children are safe and no one can gain access without us letting them in.
The After School Club is open every day that St Bartholomew's School is open from the end of the school day until 6.00pm.

Meet The Team
Each half term we will profile a different member of the team - this month, meet Rob Mavers:
Rob has been working with us for over 2 years. He started working at our club in Portslade Infants and then decided that he wanted to become a member of the bank staff, and has worked at all of our clubs across Brighton and Hove. This makes him a very experienced team member and he has now settled at St Bartholomew's. He is currently studying for his NVQ2 in playwork.
Rob's favourite group activity with the children is Shoebomb. Rob's a favourite with some of our older children as his favourite outdoor game is football. He also enjoys getting the children engaged in a game of Chase (Tag It, or Stuck in the Mud).
He enjoys his work at Class Of Their Own, and says the favourite part of his job is having a laugh and helping people.
When Rob is not working for us, he does some charity work, and he is currently organising an event in aid of cancer charities.
Rob says he has absolutely no sporting achievements to speak of. We asked Rob for 3 interesting facts about himself and he said he has disproportionately large feet for his height (have a look next time you see him!), he met Kenny Ball when he was a child, and has a picture to prove it, and his Dad was in the Second World War.
Infant children are collected from their class by one of our team, and junior children make their own way directly to the club.

To book a place at the After School Club, you need to complete the St. Bartholomew's Registration Form and return to the After School Club or address on the form with a £30 deposit.
The Team
Jessica Pollard
is the Supervisor at the club. She has recently finished her degree in Psychology and Management Studies. She brings a lot of passion and commitment to the job and is working towards an NVQ 3 in playwork.
Rebecca Blankson
is a playworker at the club. She currently works as a Teaching Assistant during the day and is considering becoming a teacher in the future.
Rob Mavers
is a playworker at the club. He has been working for us since 2007.
