Holmbush Holiday Club

Holmbush will not be open over the February Half Term. The nearest Holiday Club is Swiss Gardens.

The After School Club takes place in the newly renovated Community Room at Holmbush School. We are open every day that Holmbush School is open, from the end of the school day until 6.00pm.

The Community Room is our own dedicated space and we have direct access to the school playground.

Entrance to the club is directly into the Community Room through a door located to the right hand side of the school.

Security at the club is of utmost importance to us. Our staff lock all the exit gates in the playground at the beginning of the session before the children go outside to play. This ensures that we know that all the children are safe and no one can gain access without us letting them in.

After School Club: End of school day until 6.00pm

We are open every school holiday to children from around the local area from 8.30am until 5.30pm.

The club mobile number is: 07548 201348

The club's Ofsted registration number is: EY 393318.

If your child is new to the club, please complete a Holmbush Registration Form.

The Team

Tessa

started volunteering with Class of Their Own two years ago, and was quickly offered full time work. She has now progressed to be club supervisor at Holmbush. Tess has lots of great ideas for activities to ensure that the children at Holmbush are well entertained!

Tess has a level 3 NVQ in Playwork and considers herself a real advocate for play; she believes that play is vital for all children to express themselves. As a result, the children at Holmbush are able to take ownership of their own activities during club time.

Tess lives in a sleepy village called Storrington which is about half an hour from Brighton. She enjoys walking on the downs. Tessa is a keen artist; she studied art at A-Level and she recently got her first sewing machine. Tess also enjoys cookery. She loves trying new dishes, especially Asian foods. Luckily they usually turn out well!

Siobhan

is a playworker at the club. She has a degree in Politics and is currently studying for an MA. She is a committed volunteer with St John's Ambulance, and runs youth groups for them. Siobhan works at West Hove 4 days a week.

Lola

has just started working for Class of Their Own and works Monday-Thursday as a playworker at the club. She has lots of experience working with children in her native Spain and loves working with children and getting to know them. She is great at thinking of art activities and enjoys playing parachute games with the children.  She is currently studying in Brighton and also works in a restaurant at the weekends.

Meet The Team

Abigail is a playworker at Holmbush.  She has been working for us for nearly a year. She started as a member of our bank staff before moving to Holmbush on a regular basis.   During the day, whilst she is not working for us, Abi is a voluntary teaching assistant.

Abi’s favourite group activity with children is playing any games outdoors, and she particularly enjoys stuck in the mud when she is outdoors.  The favourite part of Abi’s job is the children.

Prior to working for us, Abi studied for a degree in fine art.  She still makes and sells art work. Abi loves to paint portraits, and in her free time she is writing a children’s book.
