Our Lady of Lourdes Holiday Club
The After School and Holiday Club take place in 'The Arches' at Our Lady of Lourdes School, Rottingdean.
The room is newly built and is an excellent location for our club. The room is designed specifically for the purpose of an after school club. There is a relaxing area, an area where messy arts and crafts can take place, sinks in the room, an area for computers, space for storage and generally lots of room to have fun!
There is access via patio doors leading directly onto the enclosed playground, so children will have the freedom to go inside and outside as they wish.
There are toilets to the side of the playground. We will also have access to the kitchen attached to the hall and we will be able to use the hall when it is not in use. We also have use of the large playground.
Our After School club is open every day that Our Lady of Lourdes School is open for children from Our Lady of Lourdes and St Margaret’s School. Junior children make their own way to the canteen and infant children are collected directly from their class and walked to the club by our team.
Children from St Margaret’s will be met in the School Library and then walked across to Our Lady of Lourdes School.

If your child has not been to this club before, please complete a Our Lady of Lourdes Registration Form.
We are open every school holiday to children from around the local area from 8.30am until 5.30pm.

Our entrance is via the Breakfast Room/Kitchen attached to the hall, and is clearly marked with signs. There is a bell next to the door, please ring this and we will let you in.

The Team
Vicky Turner
is the club supervisor. Vicky has been working for us for over one year. She has worked at our club at Holmbush Primary as a Playworker and has been supervising there one day a week term time and during the holiday club. She has also been supervising a fully inclusive club on a Saturday Mornings. Vicky works at a local school as a Teaching Assistant during the day. Vicky has qualified in Playwork Level 3 and is looking to start a foundation degree in Early Years. Vicky is really excited about starting a new club in Rottingdean and she has got loads of new and exciting ideas to put in place.

Meet The Team
Each half term we will profile a different individual. This month, meet the club supervisor, Vicky Turner.
Vicky is the supervisor at Swiss Gardens. She started at our club at Holmbush Primary as a Playworker and has swiftly moved on to the role of Assistant Supervisor, and we were delighted when she applied for the role of supervisor at Swiss Gardens.
Her favourite group activity with the children is making play dough. Her favourite outdoor game is 'Run If You Like...'
The favourite part of her job is being able to have fun and let the children express themselves in their own individual way.
During the day, Vicky is a teaching assistant at Rudyard Kipling School.
In her free time, she enjoys diving, and holds a PADI open water diving qualification.
