West Hove Holiday Club
The After School and Holiday clubs take place in the school canteen at West Hove School.
The school canteen is a new building and has lots of space for indoor play, we also have use of the Junior School playground. Entrance to the canteen is through the Junior school playground. There is a bell on the junior gate that rings through to the club.
Our After School Club is open every day that West Hove School is open for children from West Hove Infant and Junior Schools. Junior children make their own way to the canteen and infant children are collected directly from their class and taken to the club by our team.
After School Club: End of school day until 6.00pm
We are open every school holiday to children from around the local area from 8.00am until 6.00pm.

The Team
Natasha
is the club supervisor. She joined us in April 2011 from a setting where she was working as a Centre Manager in London. She has an NVQ Level 3 in playwork as well as holding up-to-date certificates in Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding Children, Delivering High Quality Activities, Positive Behaviour Management and Preparing for Ofsted.
She used to work as an office manager and decided to go for a career change two years ago and follow on her passion and embark on a new career working with children. Natasha grew up in London but has relocated to Brighton as her husband also has a new job here.
Natasha has a lot of experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour and enjoy encouraging positive behaviour and working closely with the school and parents regarding meeting children’s individual needs. She is very fun loving and have a good sense of humour and lots of energy for organising fun activities with children. She particularly enjoys arts and crafts, cookery, dance, drama, musical activities and ball games.
In her spare time she enjoys yoga, cooking, camping and making collages. She is a musician/ singer/songwriter and plays the flute and piano. As part of a world music project with her husband and she has travelled the world recording and performing music.
Jamie
is the assistant supervisor. He joined us in 2010. He has a qualification in Environmental Studies. Jamie has completed his NVQ Level 2 in playwork, and is currently studying towards his NVQ Level 3 in playwork. Jamie recently got married.
Juanita
is the Senior Playworker with responsibility for the infants. She worked in Nursery childcare for many years and is currently studying for her NVQ 3 in Playwork. Juanita works from Wednesday to Friday.
Stacey
is a playworker in the club. She holds a degree in politics and social policy and is currently studying for an MA. She has lots of experience in playwork and has worked in adventure playgrounds in Portsmouth. Stacey is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 in playwork. She works in the club every day.
Amy
Amy has recently joined the team, she is currently studying for her NVQ Level 2 in playwork. Amy has a child who attends West Hove. Amy has a degree in textile design.
