Party FAQs

How Do I Book A Party?

Simply call our experienced party planner on 07827 019356 to discuss your party requirements. You will receive a booking form along with our party terms and conditions.

To secure your booking, you need to return the booking form with a £50 non refundable deposit to our office or one of our After School Clubs. The office address is Class Of Their Own, 39 Portland Road, Hove, BN3 5DQ.

We will contact you to confirm receipt of the deposit. Once the deposit has been received, the party is confirmed.

I am booking a swimming party for my child. Will your staff come and help out on the day?

I only have a very small budget, can you do a party for less than £150?

Generally, our minimum price is £150 per party. Our parties are of the highest standard, and we do not compromise on quality. If you have a specific requirement that is outside of our normal parties (for example if you wanted a party with only a handful of children), we will try to accommodate your request.

How Do I Pay The Balance?

The balance will be payable to the Party Leader on the day of the party. You can pay the Party Leader by cheque (payable to Class Of Their Own) or cash. You are not able to use Childcare Vouchers.

What does the party planner do?

A dedicated party planner will be on hand to do all the work before your party to help ensure the experience is stress free for you, and that your child has the best party ever! All you need to do is complete a booking form, and we will take care of the rest!

How Long Does a Party Last?

The party will last for a total of two hours. Our team will engage the children for 1.5 hours of themed games and activities, they will also oversee the party tea. They will pack up after the party tea is over. Party leaders and entertainers will be on hand to lead the Happy Birthday singing if you wish.

Can you provide party tea/birthday cake?

Yes. We are working in partnership with local caterers to supply party tea and cakes. We are able to provide a party tea buffet from £2.50 per head, and cakes from £15 per cake. Vegetarian options are available and we are able to cater for food allergies. Food needs to be booked at least 5 days before the party.

Do I have to book food now?

No. You can book your party, and make a late decision about food, but it must be ordered 5 days before the party. You need to pay for 50% of the food order in advance, and the remainder on the day to the party leader. You can pay by cash or cheque made payable to Class Of Their Own.

How Many Children Can I Invite To The Party?

You can invite up to 20 children to the party. You can invite additional children for a cost of £5 each.

What will my involvement be?

Our Party Leaders or entertainers will discuss with you on the day how involved you want to be. You can be as involved as you want to be, or you can sit back and relax and let us do everything.

Can Siblings Stay For The Party?

If you have not gone over the 20 children, unexpected guests or siblings can stay. Young children will need to be supervised by an adult. We tailor each party to you, and we may only bring enough items for the amount of children originally booked and some craft items may not be suitable for very young children. Please tell us as much as you can about the guests before booking the party.

Are All The Party Leaders And Entertainers Checked And Insured?

We do a police CRB check for every employee. Every employee is first-aid trained and will carry a first-aid kit with them to every party. We have Public Liability insurance and the party leader will carry a risk assessment document with them. We take health and safety seriously and we will also provide you with a printable guest list/register so you can record your parent emergency phone numbers and children's dietary needs on the day. The team will have received our internal training on how to deliver an outstanding party.

What will happen on the day?

Our Party Leaders or Entertainers will arrive 15-minutes before the time of the party to set up the themed decorations and discus with you exactly what will be happening on the day. Everything will be done by us, and we will leave your home as we found it. The party leader will either arrive in costume, or will put it on before the guests arrive. Some of our party leaders may be travelling by public transport and will not want to arrive in full costume!

Can children with additional needs attend the party?

Our parties are fully inclusive to all children, and we welcome the chance to work with children with additional needs - although we do ask that you tell us in advance if any children at the party will have additional needs so we can be sure the activities are suitable.

What happens if the party is disappointing?

Book with confidence - our parties are guaranteed to please. We encourage you to try and resolve any issues with the party leader on the day, or to contact the party co-ordinator - however, we are so certain you and your child will be happy with the party, we will offer you a full money back refund if you are not satisfied with the party.

Can you provide Party Bags?

No party is complete without a party bag! We can take the time, effort and stress out of arranging these bags. We can provide fully themed party bags, with presents for boys and girls - simply let us know the number of boys and girls coming to the party, and we will do the rest. Each child will have 3 small toys in their bag, along with a small selection of sweets and balloons.

Can you provide Discos/Entertainers/Bouncy Castles

Yes. We are building a database of party essentials. If you require any of these, please feel free to get in touch. We will do all the work, and you will pay the same or less than you would if you booked them directly!

Can you arrange a hall or other space for my party?

We have relationships with several local schools, and are able to hire their halls for parties. If your home is not large enough, you want a bit more space, you want a completely hassle free party, or you want to invite more children, this is an ideal, and inexpensive solution. We would arrive before you and ensure the hall was fully themed and decorated.
We are currently able to book several halls for £50 for a 2 hour party (1.5 hours of party and 30 minutes for the party tea) plus 15 minutes either side for you to set up anything that you want to bring. You can bring your own food, or we can provide catering for you.
