The Management Team

Class Of Their Own is one of the largest providers of After School and Holiday Clubs in the UK.

We employ a team of around 180 Club Co-ordinators, Assistant Club Co-ordinators and Play Leaders.

The Class Of Their Own directors (read about Sam and Tanya) work with an excellent management team who are responsible for the smooth day to day running of all operations.

Introducing our Area Management Team...


Bec Drinkwater - Area Manager bec

Bec joined our team in November 2014, when she relocated to Brighton from the Isle of Man. She is orginally from North London.

Bec is responsbile for the overall management of all After School, Breakfast and Holiday Clubs with support from Natalie Paddenburg (Area Co-ordinator).

She has a degree in Childhood Studies and Professional Studies and an Adult Teaching Certificate which was used to teach Level 2 and 3 Childcare and Playwork courses.  She also has a BTEC Advance in Health and Social Care and an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People.

She has worked in the Early Years sector supporting early years settings, the Playwork sector as a play leader and play officer, as a Social Work Assistant with the duty team at Social Services and with young people in Residential Care.

Bec has spent two years travelling and enjoys city breaks and exploring new places.


Jane Hardy - Quality, Training and Compliance Manager Jane


Jane joined the management team in June 2013 after 2 ½ years as our After School Club Co-ordinator at St Paul’s.

As Quality, Training and Compliance Manager Jane is responsible for ensuring that clubs meet all Ofsted criteria and for developing training plans to ensure the team understands their responsibilities. She has worked in play and childcare since 1996 and has supervised and managed several play settings in this time. Jane lives in Worthing with her partner and daughter.

Jane says, "I'm happy to be part of such a committed management team and to be in a position to support the wider team of invaluable playworkers and club supervisors. My aim is to work collaboratively to provide the best level of care for all the children who are at the centre of what we do."

Natalie Paddenburg - Area Co-ordinator


Natalie joined Class Of Their Own's management team in August 2016 as an Area Co-ordinator. Natalie has worked as a Primary and Secondary School teacher and has considerable experience of supporting children with additional needs. Natalie started her career as a Play Leader for Class Of Their Own before progressing to the role of Club Co-ordinator.

We were delighted when Natalie brought her wealth of experience back to our team.




Introducing our HR Team...

Sally Howard - HR Manager

sallySally joined Class Of Their Own as HR Manager in September 2014, having taken a couple of years away from work while having her twins.  She is responsible for creating and implementing our strategic HR plans and overseeing all our HR. Sally is working closely with our management team to build the best possible working environment, creating a motivated, well developed workforce.

She lives in Hove with her husband and twins.

She says, “Before I joined the company, a few of my neighbours had mentioned what great quality their after school care was and that I should make sure my children attend once they’ve started school. Now I’ve seen the clubs run in practice, I can see why my neighbours were so enthusiastic. Whenever I’ve visited a club, it’s clear that the children are cared for attentively and enthusiastically, ensuring they are stimulated throughout their time with us. The high calibre and professional approach of the teams has really impressed me and it is a real pleasure working with the exceptional office team, who ensure they provide first class support, enabling the clubs to prioritise the children’s needs”.

Lisa Humphries - HR Co-ordinator Lisa

Lisa started working for Class Of Their Own in 2010 as an Administation Assistant. She moved to HR in 2012 and now knows everything there is to know about our team, where they can work and when! Lisa is responsible for the recruitment of our entire team, obtaining pre-employment checks, she oversees the rota and arranging training for the team. Lisa is married, lives in Hove with her son.

Lisa says, "I love working for Class Of Their Own as it truly is dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for everyone; children, parents and team members alike. I am lucky enough to get to see the business from both sides; as a team member and as a parent (my son attends Holiday Club) and to get the opportunity to see the Play Leaders that I've recruited in action in our Clubs. It's fantastic to see such talented and dedicated Play Leaders coming to join our team to share their knowledge, skills and talents with the children attending. Our team is incredibly diverse and I feel like I learn something new every time I visit a Club so I can only begin to imagine all the wonderful things the children are learning every day through their play!"


Regina French - Rota Co-ordinator

Regina is responsible for managing the After School, Breakfast and Holiday Club rota.


Introducing our Operational Team...


Clair Faulkner - Operations Manager Clair

Clair has been working for Class Of Their Own since 2007. Clair's knowledge and experience of Class Of Their Own means she has a very varied role. Clair wide ranging knowledge enables her to provide a link between the office and clubs. Clair's role is project based and can vary from helping to open a new club to organising us at the Chlidren's Parade! Clair also has responsibility for our inclusion programme, ensuring any children with additional needs get the additional support they require, be it inclusion funding to increase the staff ratio or supporting the staff team in initiating new procedures to ensure the children get the most they can from attending the club.

Clair holds a Foundation Degree in Playwork and is a qualified Playwork NVQ assessor and helps to see our internal candidates through their qualifications.

Clair has varied interests, including an allotment and she enjoys growing her own produce and sharing it with others.

Clair says, "I like my job because it is varied every day, I never know what to expect.  One day I can be paying invoices and the next be supervising a club.

I started part time as a Club Co-ordinator; my admin skills from previous work were quickly recognised and I started worked in the office to make up a full time job. During my time I have been responsible for about everything the company does, from planning Holiday Club activities to interviewing new staff. The most recent development is that I am about to start a project management course, which is very different to any other training I have undertaken."


Emma Raynaud - Administration Manager


Emma joined Class Of Their Own in November 2011 as an Administrator. Since then, Emma's role has grown and now she manages our Administration - a wide role encompassing everything from overseeing our customer service, reconcilling our accounts, ensuring customer accounts are correct and up to date and everything in between.


Emma lives with her partner and her two younger daughters in Hove.






Administration Team

The administration team are responsible for the processing all After School and Holiday Club bookings and payments, communicating with parents via phone and email, organising our party service, planning activities and organising orders and deliveries. The administration team is made up of Emma Raynaud, Hannah Whedbee, Leanne Poynton and Jess Reynolds.
