Holiday Club

When children enter our Holiday Club they become Play Explorers. And what do Play Explorers do? They play!

EXPLORING THROUGH PLAY

We know how important play is for children’s development and well-being, and that they explore and learn so much through play.

Our range of child-led Play Zones and adult-led Play Explorer Activities are designed to create the ultimate child-centred fun environment, where each child chooses how they play and what they do.

ABOUT PLAY EXPLORERS HOLIDAY CLUB

Our weekly and daily themes change every holiday, so whether your child attends one day or every day, they will enjoy something different.

OUR RATIOS

We work on a high adult to child ratio. It is important to us that every child is able to have a brilliant, fun and interactive experience.

Ofsted guidance supports a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 30 children in Breakfast and After School Clubs. We never work to this ratio.

To ensure our clubs maintain consistently high standards we (usually, there are of course times when we are not able to cover an absence) work on our own internally set ratios of:

  • 2 adults to maximum of 12 children
  • 3 adults to maximum of 25 children
  • 4 adults to maximum of 34 children
  • 5 adults to maximum of 44 children
  • 6 adults to maximum of 54 children

OPENING HOURS

Our Holiday Clubs are open during school holidays from 8am – 6pm.

A standard day is 8.30am to 3.30pm and additional hours can be booked in addition to that.

HEALTHY EATING CLUBS

We provide a tasty and nutritious snack in the morning and afternoon breaks. Children bring their own lunch.

Play Explorer Zones

As a Class Of Their Own Play Explorer, your child will experience a unique combination of freely chosen play and stimulating activities in our eight well-resourced Play Explorer Zones.

Play Explorer Activities

These exciting activities compliment the daily theme and provide children with opportunities to develop specific skills and interests.

Some activities will be large groups working together on a project or playing a game, others are individual accomplishments.

Our enthusiastic team are provided with a huge range of resources and will encourage children to expand the activities as they wish.

WHAT TO BRING

Please send your child to club with:

  • Packed lunch and drink
  • Sun hat in warm weather
  • Waterproof if wet
  • Coat in winter (we will be playing outside)

Parent Feedback

My daughter has been going to holiday clubs for a few years now, and there is nothing quite like the feeling of relief and happiness of knowing she will be safe, listened to, happy and have fun with friends. As a mum of a child with special needs, this is so incredibly important to me. The staff at the club always listen and they genuinely care about my daughter, it’s more than a job for them. They take time to understand her, and considering that she can’t tell them by the usual communication means like talking, this is amazing. The team running the club – all the staff I speak to including the Director, are all so lovely and listen with the most amazing customer care. It’s truly an amazing club which I would recommend to any parent of any child regardless of their needs – special or otherwise. I cannot praise them highly enough!
