This is an Ofsted Outstanding Club!

Ofsted visited Peter Gladwin during the Summer 2017, and we are very excited and proud to announce that the club was awarded an Outstanding grade by Ofsted! The inspector was exceptionally impressed by Peter Gladwin Holiday Club. outstanding logo 2016

We have also received some lovely feedback from the head at Peter Gladwin about our Ofsted oustanding: "Congratulations to all at Class of their Own. Wow what a fabulous report. I must say I was in lots over the holidays and was very impressed with the opportunities you were offering and the usual lovely staff".

Meet the team:

Club Co-ordinator

Is the Club Co-ordinator and will be sharing the role with Sara this summer.  She is originally from the North, near Chester but moved to Brighton after working in France.
She has been working with and caring for children for almost 10 years in a variety of settings including Nurseries, as a Private Nanny and in Schools as a Teaching Assistant as well as in another After School Club in Chester.  She finds working in After School Clubs really enjoyable and lots of fun…she loves to play!
Sam enjoys camping, going to music festivals and travel.  She has also found a new love for baking since moving to Brighton.

Is the Assistant Club Co-ordinator and has worked with children for a number of years in Nurseries, Schools and Play settings.  Carol has an NVQ Level 3 in Playwork.
Carol has been involved in child development for a number of years.  Whilst bringing up her (now grown up) sons she studies Child Psychology, worked as a Child Minder, Classroom Assistant and was highly successful in the integration of a child through Infant School on a one-to-one basis.  She has worked for numerous child centred charities – both employed and on a voluntary basis – and successfully completed a number of NVQ’s in childcare.  These qualifications, along with her life experience, enable her to help children develop and learn within the Club setting.

Louis joined the Club in 2013 as a Play Leader and is also an Inclusion Play Leader.  Louis did his Work Experience at Class Of Their Own in 2011 and spent a week working at our Clubs, he enjoyed it so much that as soon as he finished his studies he applied for a Play Leader role with us.  He enjoys all aspects of the After School & Holiday Club from preparing snack, to face painting, to football and loves getting stuck in!

Is a Play Leader at the Club and has been with Class Of Their Own since 2016.
Prior to joining Class Of Their Own, Jess did a degree in Decorative Arts and then went on to do an internship teaching adults how to make things with glass.  Outside of Class Of Their Own, Jess runs her own business selling all sorts of glass art work that she has made e.g. jewellery.
