Fairlight After School Club Outstanding again!

News

Our After School and Holiday Club at Fairlight Primary School received its second consecutive ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted, the regulator for Education and Children’s Services.

The club has been run by Class Of Their Own since 2010 and this is its third Ofsted inspection.

The inspector highlighted that: “Staff provide children with activities that they know they will love and that appeal to children with differing interests. They cleverly allow children to lead their play in their own way.”

The report also stated that: “Staff recognise extremely well every child’s individual interests and how they behave. The manager is dedicated to ensuring every child can ‘shine’ and is highly successful in ensuring his team facilitates this.”

Sam Thomson, Founder and Director at Class Of Their Own, said: “Fairlight is a lovely school with a great community feel and the head teacher Damien Jordan and the school team are really supportive of the club and really work in partnership to enable us to provide great play experience.”

She continued: “We are delighted with the Outstanding Ofsted grading, it is a great reflection on the club, the children and the team and we had one of the best comments we have ever heard an Inspector say is ‘I wish my children lived near enough to come here – they would love it!’ Praise does not get better than that!”

Head Teacher at Fairlight, Damien Jordan commented: “Congratulations to everyone at Class Of Their Own. This is a well-deserved result and a very good reflection of the fantastic work that Class Of Their Own do at Fairlight”.

First day at Holiday Club

“I just want my phone call!” No I haven’t been imprisoned, this is me talking out loud in the office, waiting for my phone call from Holiday Club, where my daughter has gone for the first time (having just turned four). As part of settling in, our Club Co-ordinators call each new parent/carer to update them on how their child is doing on their first day in club.
