Southover After School Club’s first Ofsted visit


Our team at Southover After School Club had its first Ofsted visit and received a ‘Good’ rating. The club has been running at Southover CE Primary School since 2016.

The report highlighted that:

  • Staff reinforce children’s self-confidence.
  • Children respect each other’s opinions when they play together.
  • Children are polite, sociable and learn to share and take turns.
  • Parents speak very highly about the setting and staff. They feel their children are safe and staff care for their children well. They say their children love to attend and that they really enjoy their time at the setting

First day at Holiday Club

“I just want my phone call!” No I haven’t been imprisoned, this is me talking out loud in the office, waiting for my phone call from Holiday Club, where my daughter has gone for the first time (having just turned four). As part of settling in, our Club Co-ordinators call each new parent/carer to update them on how their child is doing on their first day in club.
